Getting there by car:
From France: Paris > Toulouse > direction Tarbes/Pau.
Take detraction 16 direction Lannemazan, and after that the D929 (route Lannemazan)
Follow this road in the direction Bielsa (first Spanish place), and later Ainsa, here take the road to Barbastro. After 10 to 15 minutes a detraction to Samitier will follow.

The abbey can be reached by car in 2 hours from Zaragoza - for example www.ryanair.com has got some very cheap offers.
The abbey can be reached by car in 3 hours from Barcelona.
Car rental from 15 euro per day. See www.123carrent.com. Tip: combine a stay with a visit to Barcelona. Week(end) full of culture and nature!
